Brace yourselves, as we plunge into an exploration where the imagination knows no bounds, as all the latest fashion trends are reviewed by our editorial team. We’ve spotted 8 fashion trends that will be the subject of debate among followers!

The gray oversize suit

1/8

Gray suiting, often associated with elegance and sophistication, is a versatile color that can be adapted to a variety of occasions, and since we love its XXL look, we no longer hesitate to wear it with all kinds of sauces. Designers like Luar, Heliot Emil and Ottolinger have understood this very well, revisiting the oversized grey suit in their own way, creating a balance between formality and casualness.

The Color block

2/8

The essence of color block lies in combining bright, contrasting colors. Dare to mix intense hues like electric blue, bright red, lemon yellow and fuchsia pink. And, of course, combine opposite colors on the color wheel for maximum impact. Remember that the month of fashion week kicked off in New York with Peter Do’s Spring 2024 collection at Helmut Lang entitled “Born to Go”, where we discovered a vision of the color block completely revisited. JW Anderson also had Mona Touggard on the catwalk, in a color block piece of exaggerated proportions, at his eponymous London show.

Overload fit

3/8

Noticed on the catwalks of designers such as Dawei, The Attico and Labrum London, the layering trend is one of this season’s hottest trends. For the more unusual, there’s what’s known as overloading or accumulation, the strange concept of wrapping oneself in large quilted pieces or piles of superimposed garments. It’s a bit like getting out of bed with everything you’ve got, slipping on a pair of shoes and going for a walk.

Red leather

4/8

This season, leather caused a sensation on the Milanese and Parisian catwalks, and deep reds got the positive vibes flowing. At Bottega Veneta in Milan, Matthieu Blazy unveiled a panoply of around 5 looks in total leather and purple tones. While Rick owens opted for a gloved dress with a train, Gucci offered a mini dress magnified by a lace décolleté. Whether it’s a coordinated ensemble, a fitted suit for an elegant silhouette or a straight-cut dress for a retro touch, red leather can create a powerful style statement.

The Lace black dress

5/8

The lace dress has an undeniable seductive power, making it one of the hottest styles of the season. Sighted on numerous catwalks, it has also been adopted by a host of celebrities, including Dua Lipa, most recently in a model signed GCDS, and Bella Hadid. It seems to be the coup d’éclat of the moment. Ready-to-wear brand Namilia presented a stunning lace dress at their latest Berlin Fashion Week show. And other designers like Dolce & Gabanna and Mugler have made it their signature piece. It embodies the power of femininity, adding a touch of attention-grabbing mystery.

Sheer tulle dress

6/8

The transparent tulle dress is also the height of glamour. This smoky effect, revealing without overdoing it, concealing little or nothing, is the height of style for today’s most cutting-edge designers. It has seduced most New York designers this season, including Palomo Spain, David Koma and Ankvas. This garment is the obvious choice to sublimate your silhouette with elegance and modernity, whether you opt for a delicately embroidered transparent dress, adorned with subtle motifs, or simply highlighted by the play of veil and light. It lets you reveal your skin with finesse and taste, while retaining a touch of mystery.

The XXL bow Tie

7/8

The bow tie is no longer just a formal accessory. The Kimhekim house proved this with its spring/summer 2024 collection, “black and white”, which featured it in all its forms. Whether on an elegant suit, a micro mini skirt or even a vintage look, the oversized bow tie is a bold trend that has made its mark this season, with Richard Quinn, Simone Rocha and Tanner Flecher also opting for it. It’s like the “couture” element that adds a touch of drama to the silhouette!

Effortless Chic

8/8

The nonchalant chic trend, often called “effortless chic”, is based on the idea that style doesn’t require too much effort. It’s a relaxed approach to fashion that values comfort, simplicity and personality. You’ve probably seen Maison Margiela’s Co-Ed Spring-Summer 2024 collection, which features “the quest for personal truth”. Or the presentation of the VETEMENTS brand, which brought together a number of looks with oversized designs, while retaining that formal aspect with white shirts, tie and smocking. By cultivating a wardrobe of classic XXL pieces and adopting a laid-back attitude, you can create looks that seem both effortlessly chic and effortless. The pieces seem to be passed down from generation to generation, and see their genetics evolve accordingly.
